Information on how to get to and from the main airports in Sweden, as well as the connecting airport in Copenhagen.

Stockholm Arlanda Airport

Trains

The Arlanda Express train operates from Arlanda Airport to/from Stockholm Central Station every 15 min. throughout the day. The travel time is only 20 min. It costs extra to purchase a ticket on board the train, so check prices and book tickets online for the best price. 

Commuter trains to Stockholm depart twice an hour from Arlanda and take around 45 minutes. 

Bus and taxi

You can also travel by bus or taxi. The Flygbussarna Airport Coaches depart every 10-15 minutes between Arlanda Airport and the City Terminal (next to the Central Station) and travel time is around 35-45 minutes. 

Flixbus has also started a route to Stockholm city, getting you directly to or from terminal 5, with multiple departures to choose from.

Driving 

By car it takes approximately 40-45 minutes to drive the 40 km from the airport to central Stockholm. You take the E4 southwards all the way.

Flygbussarna Airport Coaches operates all airports above, with departures timed with flights arriving and departing from the airports. Travel time: 20 minutes (Bromma), 80 minutes (Skavsta) and 80 minutes (Västerås).

Gothenburg Landvetter Airport

Buses operate from Landvetter Airport to the Central Station, (Nils Ericson Terminal), in Gothenburg three times per hour. Travel time is 30 min. More info and tickets.

Malmö Sturup Airport

Malmö Sturup airport is located 33 km from Malmö. You can travel by bus, airport bus or taxi to central Malmö. More information on the airport buses.

Copenhagen Airport in Denmark

Copenhagen Kastrup Airport in Denmark is located 32 km from Malmö. Direct trains operate every 20 minutes to and from Copenhagen Airport to Malmö Central Station and to other destinations in Sweden via the Öresund Bridge. The journey takes only 24 min. Purchase a ticket at the airport. Please note you cannot  purchase a ticket on the train. More information about trains across the bridge.
