Malmö is a food haven for vegetarians. The city is known for its green food scene, and several Malmö restaurants do in fact offer only vegetarian food.
When Mineral opened in 2017 it was a wine bar, serving natural wines, but soon afterwards they started serving food too, however solely plant-based dishes. The food is rooted in the Swedish cuisine, but there are noticeable influences from all over the world. Try the perfectly balanced mid-sized dishes with anything from chanterelle and lingonberry to miso and fermented veggies. How about polka beet ceviche? Or celery root with miso, apple and rhubarb? Everything can be paired with a fine natural wine, or a Scandinavian beer if preferred. Moreover, Mineral organises jazz brunches, intimate concerts and the bathroom is, surprisingly, an ever evolving art project.
