Liehittäjä, Swedish Lapland

Swedish Lapland boasts rolling hills and roaring rivers. Accompanied by the vast woodlands, the scenery is encapsulated by true rural romance. Here, from the mountains to the sea, it is nothing short of the perfect place to take on a new adventure.

For the locals in Swedish Lapland, honest food from local produce is kept close to heart. Naturally, through nature’s pureness and plentiful ingredients from its surroundings, you’re able to taste all the goodness of nature that’s adapted to life in our subarctic environment.

The table at Liehittäjä is located on an old Sámi reindeer corral about 15 minutes walk from the Huuva Hideaway Lodge, close to the border of Finland and Sweden and between Övertorneå and Överkalix.

For all your summer activities including canoeing, forest walks and mountaintop views, Lapland View Lodge has got you covered. Live in an eco-lodge and experience untouched nature among the Scandinavian mountains with RiipiBo. Catch whitefish in Kukkola village using a special kind of fishing method dating back to the 1500s at Kukkolaforsen. Head out on a gastronomic journey with Cold Adventures, where you get to taste the beloved Kalix Caviar. Taste the nature of Swedish Lapland, distilled into a bottle of gin at Norrbotten Destilleri’s stylish showroom. Climb up the steps of the lookout tower in Risudden and cast your eyes 1.7 km out into the Arctic forest.
