24 August - 6 September: Tranquil Värmland & Lurö Archipelago Escape

Explore Sweden’s nature, local food culture and a slower, more mindful way of travelling. Set across forests, lakes and remote islands, this journey offers a rare opportunity to experience Sweden’s quiet, unspoilt landscapes – where simplicity, stillness and a close connection to nature take centre stage.

The programme begins with a stay at Naturbyn, where open-fire cooking and storytelling introduce Swedish outdoor traditions. The journey continues with kayaking and birdwatching before heading by boat across Lake Vänern to the secluded island of Lurö. Here, you will explore the archipelago on guided walks, enjoy a floating sauna and stay overnight in simple cottages – with the option to spend the night in a lighthouse.

The trip concludes with a fishing experience in the archipelago and a final evening at one of Värmland’s historic mansions and spas.
