Hiking in Dalarna
There are many beautiful hiking trails all over Sweden in which you can discover stunning landscapes with wide and varied plants and wildlife. As long as you cause no harm or disturbance, 'Allemansrätten' allows you to roam freely in Swedish nature.

21-25 September: Dalarna - Happily off schedule

Staying connected has never been easier.

Yet an increasing number of travellers are looking for the opposite. Not to disconnect completely, but to escape endless notifications, packed itineraries and the feeling that you always have to be somewhere, with someone, doing something.

What if the highlight of a trip wasn't another attraction, but the freedom to choose your own level of togetherness?

Welcome to Dalarna, where forests, lakes and mountains have a habit of slowing people down. Stay by the lake a little longer. Choose the trail that looks nicer, not the one that's shorter. Join an activity, or skip one without feeling guilty. Around here, even doing nothing can turn out to be a surprisingly good plan.

Join us to:

  • Stay completely off grid at No Connection, where the only notification you're likely to receive comes from a woodpecker;
  • Experience simple pleasures such as sauna sessions, cold plunges, campfires, paddling or simply listening to whatever the forest has to say;
  • Spend time at small scale accommodations where joining the group is always an option, but never an expectation;
  • Discover Grövelsjön,, Sweden's southernmost Sami settlement, where mountain landscapes and Sami culture offer a different perspective;
  • Choose from optional activities including hiking, paddling, mindfulness, berry picking, cinnamon bun baking or simply doing nothing at all;
  • Enjoy locally sourced dinners, including one prepared by a former Michelin chef, and discover the flavours of Dalarna.
