Pite Havsbad, Swedish Lapland
Often referred to as “the Nordic Riviera”, Pite Havsbad is Sweden’s northernmost five-star campsite. Located on the east coast of Swedish Lapland, this beachside resort offers a variety of accommodations, including a hotel, cabins and a campsite for caravans, motorhomes and tents – all just steps from the kilometre-long sandy beach. Guests can enjoy more than 40 activities, including a tropical indoor water park, outdoor pool, spa, playgrounds, bowling, mini golf and regular live entertainment. The campsite is open from mid-May to mid-September.

Byske Havsbad, Västerbotten
Approximately 40 kilometres south of Piteå, along the east coast in Västerbotten, lies Byske Havsbad. The campsite offers a variety of accommodations, including pitches for caravans, motorhomes, and tents, as well as cabins. Visitors can enjoy a fine-grained, shallow sandy beach or the outdoor pool with water slides. Additional activities include adventure golf, several playgrounds, a children's BMX track, and various exercise trails in the surrounding nature. The campsite at Byske Havsbad is open year-round.

Leksand Resort, Dalarna
Camping, glamping or cabin – at Leksand Resort by Lake Siljan in Dalarna, you can stay close to nature whether you arrive with a campervan or a tent. The neighbouring amusement and water park, Leksand Sommarland, is a major draw for families. On site, there’s also an outdoor pool with water slides, adventure golf, playgrounds, a sandy beach and several nature activities. Parts of the campsite are open from late April until September, with cabins available year-round.

Årjäng Camping & Stugor Sommarvik, Värmland
Often referred to simply as Sommarvik, this five-star campsite is nestled among forests and lakes in Värmland, near the Norwegian border. Accommodation options include cabins, glamping tents, and pitches for motorhomes, caravans, and tents. The nearby Lake Västra Silen features a sandy beach with shallow water, a wood-fired sauna, and a private jetty. On-site amenities encompass a pool area with three outdoor pools – including an infinity pool with a retractable glass roof – six playgrounds, and adventure golf. Sommarvik is open year-round.

Gustavsvik Camping, Närke
Conveniently located between Stockholm and Gothenburg, Gustavsvik Camping in Örebro offers a lush, green setting adjacent to one of Sweden’s largest indoor water parks, Lost City. The campsite accommodates caravans and motorhomes, and also offers cabins in various sizes. Activities range from adventure golf, pump tracks, and a large playground to access to nearby attractions like ziplining and paintball. Kronocamping i Lidköping, West Sweden
At Kronocamping in West Sweden, you’ll experience both nature and city life – the campsite is situated by the sandy shores of Lake Vänern and on the outskirts of Lidköping. Västervik Resort, Småland
Situated on the Swedish east coast, Västervik Resort is one of the largest campsites in the Nordic region. Kneippbyn Resort, Gotland
Just south of Visby, Kneippbyn Resort is the only five-star campsite on Gotland. Accommodation options include two hotels, bed & breakfast, holiday cabins, glamping, and a campsite where all caravan pitches face the sea. The resort features a summer and water park and is home to the original Villa Villekulla from the Pippi Longstocking films. Böda Sand Beach Resort, Öland
In the northernmost part of Öland, close to a long and sandy beach, you’ll find Böda Sand Beach Resort. The campsite welcomes caravans, motorhomes and tents, and there are also cabins for rent. Visitors can enjoy adventure golf, beach volleyball or take a swim in the pool. Young children can take part in activities with the mascot Bödde, while older children can hang out at the YouthCamp, which offers a skate and kickbike park, trampoline zone, and various leader-led activities during the summer weeks. Destination Apelviken, Halland
Situated between two sandy beaches in Halland on Sweden’s west coast, Destination Apelviken is within walking distance of central Varberg. Accommodation options include pitches for caravans, tents and camper vans, as well as a hotel, apartments and cabins. The resort features an outdoor pool, a surf centre, adventure golf and a range of children’s activities. Mötesplats Borstahusen, Skåne
Mötesplats Borstahusen is a former fishing village in southwest Sweden, just north of Landskrona city in Skåne. Today, it’s a resort complete with cabins, a campsite for motorhomes, caravans and tents, a spa and a golf club. The resort offers adventure golf and has a long jetty extending into the sea. Activities range from hiking along the Skåneleden trail and sea fishing trips to excursions to the island of Ven. Mötesplats Borstahusen is open all year round.
